Marlborough District Council operates and supports a range of waste minimisation programmes from providing discount vouchers for worm farms, plus regular free worm-farming seminars, piloting the Sustainable Households Programme and supporting The Recycling Centre. The Sustainable Households programme encourages people to take a little action around their homes to help sustain our environment. Information and practical ideas are given on six topics, which include waste, shopping, gardening, energy, water and travel. Marlborough District Council also has a number of events planned to coincide with the national campaign. For more information about what is happening in our region with waste minimisation, check out the waste and the community pages on the Marlborough District Council website. Environmental educationMarlborough District Council runs a waste minimisation and environmental programme.
